Karan’s embarrassing moment

Even as Karan Johar gears up to celebrate his 40th birthday, the director just can’t help but remember an incident from his childhood days.
Says Johar, “It was a friend’s birthday and I remember my mom made me wear this Superman costume. I happily and excitedly went feeling proud.”
But Karan was in for a shock. “It wasn’t a theme party! While others were in casual clothes, I was the only one in this Superman costume with that red underwear out!”
The incident embarrassed Karan so much that he did not attend any party for the next two years.“I did not know how to react! All my friends were in casual wear and I was the only one in this bizarre costume!”
